We understand the frustration with Google Ads having flagged your Ads for Malicious Software. It’s been difficult for us because Google typically does not provide support unless the account you message them about is being managed by you or someone on your team.

 

If you haven’t done so already, we recommend that you reach out to Google on your own. This may result in a quicker resolution for getting your ads back up and running. Please follow these steps:


 

  1. Sign into your Google Ads account

 

  1. Click the question mark with the circle in the right hand corner

  1. A side panel will appear. Scroll down and click “Contact Us”

  1. After you click “Contact Us”, there will be a box that says, “Tell us what you need help with.” In the box type exactly this, “All of my ads were disapproved for Malicious Software.” Click “Next Step”

 

  1. Then there will be an option to Choose the best description of this issue: Click “Malware policy disapproval”

  1. Scroll Down and click Next Step”

 

  1. If you have multiple Google Ads account you will be asked to select your Google Ads Customer ID.

 

  1. You will see contact options, Select “Email”

 

  1. Enter in your Google Ads Account Info

  1. You will be asked: What would you like us to review? Check off “Ads”

 

  1. You will be asked: Have you used Self Service Appeals (SSA)? Click Yes

 

  1. You will be asked to select the policy that applies to your situation. Click the drop drop down box and select “Other (policy not listed)”.

 

  1. In the box that says, “Campaign Name”, write,  “All of my campaigns”

 

  1. In the box that says, “Ad group name”, write, “All of my ad groups”

 

  1. In the box that says, “Summary of the issue," write exactly as below:
    1. My Google Ads ID is, {your account id number}. All of my ads were disapproved for malicious software. All of the links that were flagged as malicious have been removed, but the ads are still disapproved. Can you please rescan my website?” 
  1. Select how you would like Google to respond to you.

 

  1. Click Submit.

 

Typically this process can take 24-48 hours for the correct staff at Google to look at your account and rescan the website. Once the website is rescanned and the ads are approved it may take an additional 24 hours for the ads to be reposted.
