Understanding the Parent/Child Relationship

Modified on Wed, 7 Feb, 2018 at 12:38 PM

The Parent/Child Relationship as it pertains to menu items is quite simple. The top menu items (sometimes referred to as "tabs") - generally your primary navigation are the parents. Any menu item in a drop-down is a child. It's that simple! Please refer to the following screenshot for a visual example. "Diamonds" is the parent and the five menu items highlighted below Diamonds are the children. To the left and right of Diamonds you see "Watches" and "Services" - those are parents as well. They may or may not have children.
