Sometimes after a big site update or redesign, your main menu navigation at the top of your site can disappear. Below are some simple steps you can take in order to get your original navigation back. If these steps do not work, please contact support@thinkspacehq.com

To get started login to your site's Admin.

Step 1: Define Your Menu Style

  • Navigate to Settings > Company
  • Under Menu Type choose the style of menu that was originally configured on your website.
Note: Most websites use Standard Menus.
  • An example of each style of menu is below to help you identify which style you originally had.
    • Standard Menus
    • Hamburger Menus (also sometimes referred to as Mobile for Desktop)
    • Mega Menus
  • Once you have chosen your Menu Style, click Save.
Note: If you choose a menu style that you didn't already have configured, the styling may not be correct. If you want to change your style of menu, please contact support@thinkspacehq.com for more information.

Step 2: Adjust the Menu Slug

  • Navigate to Content > Menu Items
  • Click on the first menu item in your menu structure to edit it - most likely it is called Main or Main Standard
  • Under Slug make sure it says main-standard for Standard Menus and Hamburger Menus. If it does not, you can change the main menu item's name to Main Standard and the slug will automatically fill in.
Note: If you are using a Mega Menu make sure the main menu item is called Main Mega Menu and the Slug says main-mega.
  • Once the slug has been changed to either main-standard or main-mega, click Save.

Once you have completed both steps, refresh the site to make sure the menus reappear. If the menus have not reappeared, please contact support@thinkspacehq.com.
