Editing prices across your products are seamless in Thinkspace. Price Rules can be added to particular Brands or Designers to affect prices on your website. Price Rules are particularly useful for the Brands that provide prices at Cost and then allow you to mark them up. Also instead of updating pricing item by item, Price Rules can save you a ton of time. 


To get started login to your site's Admin.

Add a Markup


  • Navigate to Shop > Price Rules. 
  • Click the Add Price Rule button in the top right hand corner.

  • Once you're on the Add Price Rule form, select the Brand you want to edit.
  • Next choose what kind of Effect this markup/price rule will have on that brand.


There are 4 different options for the price rule Effect.

  • Fixed - A fixed number added to the cost price, a fixed markup of $100 on a $50 item will result in a price of $150.
  • Percentage - A percentage multiplied by the cost price, a percentage markup of 100% on a $50 item will result in the price of $100.
  • Multiplier - A number multiplied by the cost price, a multiplier of 2 on a $50 item will result in the price of $100.
  • Gross Profit Margin - A margin of return based on the cost price, a margin of 50% on a $50 item will result in the price of $100.


Tip: Markdowns work exactly the same as markups but you can use a negative number or percentage.


  • Once you've entered your price rule Effect, use the Markup field to type in the number you're looking to add to that brand (this will number will translate into a multiplier or a percentage depending on which Effect you chose). The example below is showing a Percentage effect and a 100% markup.
  • You can also choose to set decimal rounding or dollar rounding for your particular price rule/markup. These fields are available for your use but they are not required.
  • Click Save in the bottom right corner and you're all set!



Disable Pricing by Brand

If you want to show pricing site-wide on all products except for those items under a certain brand name, you can use the Price Rules section to hide pricing by specific brand.


  • Navigate to Shop > Price Rules. 
  • Click the Add Price Rule button in the top right hand corner.


  • Once you're on the Add Price Rule form, select the Brand you want to edit.
  • Next click the checkbox next to Hide Pricing to disable pricing for this specific brand.
  • Click Save in the bottom right corner and you're all set!

 

Disable Purchase by Brand

If you want to allow e-commerce purchases site-wide on all products except for those items under a certain brand name, you can use the Price Rules section to disable the ability to add items to the cart by specific brand.


  • Navigate to Shop > Price Rules. 
  • Click the Add Price Rule button in the top right hand corner.


  • Once you're on the Add Price Rule form, select the Brand you want to edit.
  • Next click the checkbox next to Can't Purchase to disable the cart for items for this specific brand.
  • Click Save in the bottom right corner and you're all set!


Editing an Existing Markup

In order to Edit a Markup, you can use 1 of 2 options:

  • The first option is to navigate to Shop > Price Rules. 
  • Click on Markup to open up the edit screen.
  • On the following screen you will be able to change the Brand, Effect, Markup, Decimal Rounding and Dollar Rounding or mark as Hiding Pricing or Can't Purchase.
  • Make sure to Save!

  • The second option is to edit the Effect and Markup from the Price Rules landing page. On this page you can also check the boxes for Hide Pricing and Can't Purchase.
  • After you've made your adjustments from the landing page, you can click the Save button in the bottom right corner of the screen.


Deleting a Markup

In order to Delete a Markup, you can use 1 of 2 options:


  • The first option is to navigate to Shop > Price Rules. 
  • Click on the check box to the left of Markup (you can choose multiple price rules/markups at one time). Then from the Action dropdown menu, choose Delete Selected Price Rule and click Apply.


  • The second option is to click on the Markup you want to edit in order to get to the edit screen.



  • On the following screen, click on the Delete button in the bottom left corner.
