How to Enable and Configure the Abandoned Cart Reminder Feature

The Abandoned Cart Reminder feature allows you to automatically send an email reminder to customers who leave items in their shopping cart without completing their purchase. This can help recover lost sales and improve conversion rates.

Enabling the Abandoned Cart Reminder Feature

To enable this feature, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your admin panel.
2. Navigate to Settings > Commerce.
3. Scroll down to the Shopping Cart & Checkout section.
4. Check the box labeled Enable Abandoned Cart Email Notifications to activate the feature.
5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Configuring the Reminder Interval

Once the feature is enabled, you can set the time interval for when the abandoned cart email reminder should be sent. To do this:

1. In the Shopping Cart & Checkout section, locate the Abandoned Cart Reminder Interval dropdown.
2. Select the desired time interval from the available options:
   • Never (disable reminders)
   • 1 hour later
   • 6 hours later
   • 10 hours later (default)
   • 24 hours later
3. Click Save to update your settings.

How It Works

• When a customer adds items to their cart but does not complete the purchase, the system will wait for the selected time interval before sending a reminder email.
• The email will encourage the customer to return and complete their purchase.
• If the cart is abandoned for a duration longer than the set interval, the reminder email will be sent automatically.

Manually Sending Abandoned Cart Emails

If you want to manually send an abandoned cart email, you can do so in the Cart Admin:

1. Go to Shop > Carts.

2. Select the abandoned carts you want to send emails for.

3. In the Actions dropdown, choose Send an email for abandoned shopping carts.

4. Click Apply to send the emails.
